After months of preparation, the day of Heald Green Community Festival 2013 has finally arrived, take a look at the plan for the day below, we look forward to seeing you all later!

The Festival starts at 1pm when the procession leaves the Village Hall for the Grand Fancy Dress Parade around Heald Green Village.

Festival Timetable:

1pm Parade leaves Village Hall

2pm Mayor of Stockport Arrives

2.15pm Presentation of art prizes by the Mayor

2.30-3.45pm Entertainment on the field will include:

• The Phoenix Morris Dance Troupe
• Punch and Judy
• Oldham Pipe Band
• Natalie Bates’ Dancers
• Jeon-Sa Taekwondo Demonstration
• Bolshaw Cheerleaders
• Stockport Silver Band
• Outwood Steel Band
• Heald Green Community Choir

2pm-3.40pm Entertainment in the hall will include:

• Stockport Silver Band
• Mart Rodgers’ Jazz Band

3.45pm Presentation of Festival Shield and Football tournament medals

4pm Festival Grand Draw

The Festival will be taking place one week today on the 29th June and early weather reports are looking favourable!

A small army of volunteers are in the process of distributing programmes for the festival to homes in the local area. The programme gives all the information you need about the festival including:

●How to join the parade (it’s not too late)

●The parade route

●A timetable for the parade and activities on the festival field

●Details of the Grand Draw

We have now reached full capacity on stalls for this year!  If you were hoping to have a stall this year but have been unable to secure one, provisional reservations for stalls at next year’s festival, on the 28^th June 2014, can now be made by contacting us.

Tickets for this year’s Festival Grand Draw are now available to purchase in Cafe Unity at 20p per ticket or a whole book for £1.  The draw will take place on the Festival Field at 4pm on Saturday 29th June!

On  Saturday 15th June The Light Orchestra (formerly Trafford Light Orchestra) will be performing a ‘Last Night of the Proms Concert’ – at the Methodist Church, Brown Lane, Heald Green from 7.30pm.

Tickets piced at £6 each and can be purchased from:

·         The TLO

·         Through each of the churches in Heald Green

·         From Cafeunity.

Proceeds will be split between TLO and The Heald Green Community Festival
