Outwood Road Playing Fields
SATURDAY, 30th June 2018, 12 Noon

Once again we welcome you to the Heald Green Festival, which aims to provide a family fun afternoon for all the community. Any money raised is used for the benefit of local groups in Heald Green and to stage next year’s Festival.

This year the parade will be inside the safety of the field again. Oldham Pipe Band will lead the children’s parade around the field at 12.30pm. Anyone can join the parade, whether in fancy dress or not. Just meet up in the arena and follow the band. Let’s make it as long a parade as we can this year!

The Festival will start at 12.00 noon with the usual attractions and stalls, including Punch and Judy, go-karts, inflatables, funfair, land train, kindly sponsored again by Heald Green Pharmacy, BodyZorbing, donkey rides, BBQ, the popular small animals in the Hall back room, refreshments in the Hall, other food stalls and a bar. Entertainment will be on the field and on the Hall stage, including Stockport Silver Band, Natalie Bates’ Dancers, Shirley Awan, Grace Notes (abridged), Heald Green Community Choir and the Oldham Pipe Band. Our local junior footballers will again be competing to win the Festival Shield.

Draw tickets at £1 will be on sale all afternoon and drawn at 4pm.
Thanks to the businesses who donated the fabulous prizes. Thanks also go to the organisers, stall holders, advertisers, entertainers, Air Training Corps and Scouts.

It’s your Festival so come along, support the community groups and stalls, join in the fun and enjoy the afternoon.

Free parking is provided on the field.

Please do not park on the roads which can cause a problem for buses and other road users. Please take care when entering and exiting the site. Dogs must be kept on a lead during the Festival.

2nd Prize £100 (donated by Rotary Club)
3rd Prize Kindle Fire donated by the Airport

Plus plenty of other prizes donated by businesses including:

Only 3 days until this year’s Heald Green Festival!

There’s just one week to go before this year’s Festival!  Have you got your fancy dress costume ready for the Parade?

There will be the usual attractions and stalls, funfair, BBQ, food and drink stalls, as well as lots of entertainment outside in the Arena and inside Hall.  Our local junior footballers will once again be playing in the annual football tournament and the Mayor of Stockport will present the shield and medals.

Finally, don’t forget the Festival Grand Draw the winners will be announced at 4pm, if you would like to purchase your tickets in advance, there is a last chance to do so outside Cafe Unity Saturday 17th June in the morning.

If you want to get your tickets for this year’s Festival Grand Draw early then don’t forget that tickets can be purchased outside Cafe Unity on Saturdays during June (3th, 10th & 17th). Tickets will be for sale on the field during the festival as well.

Entertainment will be in the field arena, the entertainment marquee and the Hall, including Mart Rodgers’ Jazz Band, Stockport Silver Band, The Panamas, formerly known as Searching for the Enemy, Step Ahead Dancers and the Oldham Pipe Band. Our local junior footballers will again be playing to win the Festival Shield and the Mayor of Stockport will present the shield and medals at 3.00pm with the Grand Draw being at 4pm.Thanks go to the organisers, stall holders, advertisers, entertainers, the Air Training Corps, Wilmslow, and those who donated prizes for the draw.
