About

The Heald Green Festival has been a regular part of the calendar of Heald Green for many years.  It is always held on the last Saturday of June and begins with a Grand Parade around the village and then a variety of stalls, entertainment and events on the Community Hall field and the Hall itself.

It also includes displays from the Children’s Art competition and the Junior School Football challenge.

The Festival is organised by a committee drawn from Churches Together in Heald Green, Cheadle Muslim Association, Heald Green and Long Lane Ratepayers, Heald Green Business Club and the Rotary Club.  If you would like to join the Committee then please contact the Chair – Charles Nevin.

Any profits are used for the benefit of the community and either used as “seed corn” money for the next year’s festival or given to local groups.  Local groups benefiting in the past have been the Churches Together in Heald Green Youth Initiative, a donation towards the village Christmas lights, the local Guide association and local schools.

Application can be made for small grants and a form can be obtained from Charles Nevin.
